On Sunday, March 23rd from 1:30 to 3 pm, join us at CCD as we welcome Heidi Carrington Heath, Executive Director of New Hampshire Outright, as she offers our congregation, and its partners LGBTQ+ training titled: “Practical Allyship.” Heidi holds a BA from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and a Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School.
The training will introduce foundational LGBTQ+ terms and concepts (gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, etc.) and explore the role of discrimination on mental health outcomes, particularly for youth, and will also emphasize the importance of allyship from a faith-based perspective. The training will also provide an opportunity for a Question-and-Answer session.
